Summary

• Zeta is free to download. Some features include a limited number of free uses, as shown in the App.
• Zeta Pro is a one-time purchase. It is not a subscription and never renews automatically.
• Your images stay yours, and they stay on your device. Please respect other people’s privacy when you capture and share content.
• Check important results before you rely on them, for example receipts, contracts or evidence.
• Apple handles payments and refunds.

1. About these terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Zeta App Studio (“we”, “us”, “our”). Zeta App Studio is the name under which independent developer Yangli Jiang, the seller shown on the App Store, publishes Zeta.

These Terms apply to:

• the App: Zeta for iPhone and iPad, including its Screen Recording extension;
• the Website: https://zetastitch.com.

By downloading, using or purchasing anything in the App, or by using the Website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

Apple’s Standard EULA. The App is licensed to you under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (“Standard EULA”). These Terms add to the Standard EULA. If the two conflict about the licence to use the App, the Standard EULA controls. On everything else, these Terms apply.

Privacy. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. In short, Zeta processes your content on your device.

Age. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use Zeta only with the involvement of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

2. What Zeta does

Zeta turns screenshots and screen recordings into long images and helps you edit and share them. Its current features include:

• automatic stitching of overlapping screenshots;
• turning a screen recording into a long image (Scrollshot);
• horizontal and vertical stitching and collages;
• redaction (blur and mosaic), markup and annotation;
• status bar cleanup and scrollbar removal;
• cropping, cutting and splitting;
• saving to Photos and exporting to PDF or ZIP.

We may add, change or remove features over time. What is available can depend on your device, your iOS version and your region.

3. Your content

You own your content. The screenshots, screen recordings and photos you use with Zeta, and the images you create with it (“Your Content”), belong to you or to their original rights holders. We claim no rights in Your Content. Because Zeta processes it on your device, we never receive it.

You are responsible for your content. Make sure you have the right to capture, process, save and share Your Content. Follow applicable laws when you do, including privacy and copyright laws and the terms of the apps and websites you capture.

Respect other people. Chats, social feeds and web pages often contain other people’s names, phone numbers, photos and messages. Get consent where the law requires it, and use Zeta’s redaction tools to hide personal details before you share. After redacting, zoom in to check that every sensitive area is fully covered. For highly sensitive information, use an opaque redaction style rather than a light blur.

Keep your own copies. Deleting the App removes the data stored in it. If you choose to delete original screenshots or recordings after stitching, iOS asks you to confirm, and the Photos app then handles the deletion. We cannot recover deleted content.

4. Free use and Zeta Pro

4.1 Free use

Zeta is free to download. Some features, currently automatic long stitching and Scrollshot, include a limited number of free uses, as shown in the App. Other features may be available without limit. We may change free allowances in future versions. A change never takes away anything you have already purchased.

4.2 Zeta Pro

Zeta Pro is a one-time in-app purchase. It unlocks the premium features described on the purchase screen at the time you buy, currently unlimited automatic long stitching and Scrollshot.

Zeta Pro is not a subscription. It does not renew automatically and never creates recurring charges. “Lifetime access” means that Zeta Pro stays unlocked, including future updates to the Pro features we make available in the App, for as long as we offer the App and it runs on your device.

4.3 Price and promotions

The App Store purchase sheet shows the price in your local currency, including any applicable taxes, before you confirm. A promotion or discount applies only if it is shown at the time you buy. Later price changes, up or down, do not affect a purchase you have already made.

4.4 Using Zeta Pro on more than one device

Zeta Pro works on any iPhone or iPad signed in with the same Apple Account that made the purchase. On a new device, open the Zeta Pro screen and tap Restore Purchases. Restoring never charges you again. Zeta Pro is tied to the Apple Account that bought it and is not available through Family Sharing.

4.5 Refunds

Apple processes all payments, and refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds directly. Your statutory rights are not affected.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• copy, modify, distribute, sell or lease the App, except as the Standard EULA allows;
• reverse engineer, decompile or crack the App, or try to bypass its purchase checks or free-use limits;
• use Zeta for anything illegal, infringing, harassing, defamatory or fraudulent;
• use Zeta to falsify records, such as altering receipts, chat histories or evidence in order to deceive others;
• interfere with the Website or try to gain unauthorised access to it. This includes attacks, vulnerability scanning without our permission and automated scraping that puts a burden on our server.

6. Intellectual property

The App and the Website belong to us or our licensors. This includes their design, text, graphics, icons and the Zeta name and logo. Your licence to use the App is set out in the Standard EULA. You may not copy Website content for commercial purposes without our written permission.

The App includes open-source software, which is licensed under its own terms.

Apple, iPhone, iPad, iCloud and App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc. Names of other apps, websites and services belong to their owners. Mentioning them does not imply any endorsement or affiliation.

If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.

7. Third-party services

Zeta relies on services provided by Apple, such as iOS, Photos, iCloud Photos, Screen Recording and the App Store. Apple’s terms govern those services. The content you capture from other apps and websites is subject to their terms. The App and the Website may link to third-party websites, such as the App Store. We are not responsible for third-party services, content or policies.

8. Updates, availability and requirements

We may release updates to fix problems, improve performance or change features. Some updates may require a newer version of iOS. The App Store lists the current minimum iOS version.

We do not guarantee that the App is available in every country or region, or that it works with every device or iOS version. We may modify or discontinue the App, the Website or any feature. If we discontinue the App, we will try to keep your existing Zeta Pro installation working for as long as your device’s iOS supports it, but we cannot guarantee this.

9. Disclaimer

We work hard to make stitching, redaction and export reliable. Results still depend on factors we don’t control: the original images, the page layout, fixed headers, scrolling speed, your iOS version and changes made by other apps. A long image may occasionally contain gaps, repeated sections or misalignment.

Always review your results before you rely on them, especially for receipts, invoices, contracts, financial or legal records, and evidence.

To the extent permitted by law, the App and the Website are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. This includes warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. If the law where you live does not allow a warranty to be excluded, it is limited to the minimum the law allows.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law:

• we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, business or goodwill, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App or the Website;
• our total liability for all claims relating to the App and the Website is limited to the amount you paid for Zeta Pro, if any, in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law. That includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, and for intentional misconduct or gross negligence.

Consumers. If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you keep your statutory rights, including the right to digital content that conforms to its description, and these Terms do not limit them. If you are a consumer in Australia, the guarantees in the Australian Consumer Law cannot be excluded. Where the law allows, our liability for breach of those guarantees is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.

11. Ending these terms

You can stop using Zeta at any time by deleting the App. Your right to use the App ends automatically if you materially breach these Terms or the Standard EULA, for example by cracking the App. Sections 3, 6, 9, 10, 12 and 14 continue to apply after these Terms end.

12. Disputes

If you have a problem with Zeta, please email us first. We will try to resolve it informally within 30 days.

Nothing in these Terms takes away the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, including any right to bring a claim in your local courts. The Standard EULA contains its own provisions on the law that governs the App licence.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms, for example when features, laws or platform rules change. When we do, we change the “Last updated” date at the top. If a change is significant, we will give notice before it takes effect, on the Website and, where appropriate, in the App or its App Store release notes. If you keep using Zeta after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms. Changes never apply retroactively to a Zeta Pro purchase you have already made.

14. General

• These Terms, together with the Standard EULA and our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about Zeta.
• If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
• If we do not enforce a right, that does not mean we have waived it.
• We may transfer these Terms to a successor if Zeta is transferred. Your rights under them are not affected.
• These Terms are available in several languages. If a translation differs from the English version, the English version prevails, except where local law requires otherwise.
